Why Support Durham PreK?
Durham County’s investment in pre-K not only benefits 4-year-olds and their families, but also the community as a whole. Research shows for every $1 invested in early childhood, there is a $8 return on investment when those children become working adults. Public pre-K also allows parents to work more hours. Your support of Durham PreK will support child development, the local work force, and the future of Durham County!

In FY 22, Durham PreK grew by 43.4% in overall following and finished the fiscal year with 1516 followers across all platforms.
- Instagram: 641 (+25.7%)
- Facebook: 625 (+83.3%)
- Twitter: 229 (+12.3%)
- YouTube: 21 (+950%)
Our most recent social media campaign, Meet the Team, reached over 2,500 people and had over 400 engagements.
How will Durham PreK social media support your business?
All supporters will be featured in our social media stories, and Friends at the Platinum Level will receive their own post on our social media accounts. These will be posted on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

In FY 22, www.durhamprek.org had 85,895 pageviews from 30,120 viewers. This represents a 52.4% increase in views since the end of FY 21 and a 164% increase from the end of FY 20.
Supporters of Durham PreK will be featured in a bi-weekly "annoucement" on the home page and in a monthly blog post.
Calendar
Our calendar features Durham PreK outreach events, communiy events for families, and more! Friends at the Silver Level can submit a family-friendly event for our community calendar.
Blog Post
We will write a monthly bi-blog post highlighting Friends at the Gold Level. This will include a photo, brief bio, and any specials or events about your business or organization shared with us. These will be shared on our website blog and in our bi-monthly newsletters, Community Connections and Teacher Talk.
Newsletters
Durham PreK has two bi-monthly newsletters, Teacher Talk and Community Connections. The blog posts for the Gold and Platinum Levels will be shared in our bi-monthly newsletters with a potential reach of 2500 viewers.
Teacher Talk
The Teacher Talk Newsletter is catered for teachers and early education staff to receive articles and resources on early childhood classroom topics. Almost all of our subcribers are Durham PreK staff, and most live in Durham! We will include the blog post in these newsletters because we know they will be excited to see their program supported around the county.
Teacher Talk has 200 subscribers, an overall open rate of 46.5%, and an overall click rate of 10.38%.
Community Connections
The Community Connections Newsletter is catered for families and community supporters to receive articles and resources on early childhood topics and local resources. Almost all of our subcribers are Durham residents! We will include the blog post in this newsletters because we know they will be excited to see a local program supported by their favorite local organizations.
Teacher Talk has 2300 subscribers, an overall open rate of 39.54%, and an overall click rate of 3.84%.
