The Durham Litearcy Center is the only community-based organization focused entirely on adult literacy in Durham County. Their services focus on literacy skills, GED and high school equivalency success, English courses, and more! They work with many agencies in the community, including Durham Technical Community College, the Durham County Library, Made In Durham, El Centro Hispano, and the Durham Children's Initiative. They strive to "help adults meet their life goals by offering learner-centered educational opportunities" and believe "all adults have the power to change their lives and their community through literacy."
