There are a few resources across Durham County that help families find meals. All of the information below is from the End Hunger Durham Food Resources page. We've included it on our website to allow viewers to translate into their preferred language.

The Searchable List of Durham Food Pantries open to the public has the names, address, times of service and more.  Search by zip code, name of pantry, day of week (abbreviation), street name, or any other piece of data.

You can find food pantries, Durham Public Schools no-cost meals for kids and other free kid’s meals sites, farmers’ markets and grocery stores that take SNAP/WIC, that are closest to you on the interactive food resources map.  In addition to the map, look for the listings for each category.

Free Food Delivery Services in Durham, NC- February 2021

  • Lasagna Love-Lasagna Love delivers meals to those in need. Those who want a lasagna delivered should visit the website to complete a contact form.  They will be assigned to a trained volunteer who will confirm a mutually agreeable date/time and then bring the lasagna to them.  Recipients can request one meal per month via the website.  https://www.lasagnalove.org
  • Feed My Sheep (FMS) pantry receives requests from agencies and prepares bags of groceries for pick-up and delivery by agencies.  Call Jacquelyn Blackwell at (984) 364-9662.
  • Grace Outreach pantry enlists volunteers to deliver groceries to individuals as the need arises.  Call Gladys Harris at (919) 423-3215.
  • Mt. Calvary UCC Pantry does some deliveries upon request.  Call Tanya Best at (919) 680-8269.
  • Meghan Price, Duke medical student, organizes volunteers to make check-in calls to seniors (in collaboration with End Hunger Durham and FMS) and picks up and delivers pantry food in response to the needs.  To volunteer, call her at (610) 291-8034
  • The Islamic Circle of No. America has volunteers who will deliver groceries from their pantry to anywhere in Durham. Niveen Allan at (919) 904-3390.
  • Duke (DUHS) COVID Social Support Program will deliver food, basic COVID supplies, arrange for transportation for necessary travel and medication delivery for people in quarantine or isolation because of COVID or people 65+ who are considered more vulnerable and need to limit exposure.  Call (919) 681-7356.

  • Meals on Wheels Call 919-667-9424 for information about meal delivery to people who are homebound and/or cannot manage their own food preparation. Clients receive a box of 5 or 7 frozen meals with one weekly delivery. Downloadable application HERE.
