This month's Resource Round Up theme is Mental, Social, and Emotional Support. We will feature El Futuro, Nurturing Durham, Center for Child and Family Health, and the Healthy Social Behavior Program. First up is El Futuro! Their mission is to "provide comprehensive mental health and substance use services for bilingual Latino families."
El Futuro offers many different kinds of individual and group mental health services for children and adults.
All staff are bilingual in Spanish and English!
El Futuro accepts new patients via walk-in horus at both their Durham (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) 9 am - 12 pm) and Siler City (Monday and Tuesday 10 am - 12 pm) locations.
They partner with many funding sources to help families access their services. They accept Medicaid, Health Choice, and Medicare. They also work with Alliance Beahvioral Health, Cardinal Innovations, and Sandhills as a contracted IPRS provider. Patients without insurance can still receive services!
For payment information, please call (919) 688-7101.
As a long-standing organization providing community-based mental health services to Latinx families in NC, El Futuro created La Mesita and ALMA, two programs that support training, education, and consultation services related to Latinx mental health. These programs offer spaces to share knowledge and resources, attend trainings, technical assistance, and more!
