This week's PreK Teacher of the Week is Ms. Abigail Barr from Primary Colors Early Learning Center!

Why did you become a teacher?

“It was always my passion and heart desire to become a teacher at an early age. I love making a difference in the lives of students everyday. Being a teacher is rewarding because you wear many hats and it gives me the opportunity to interact and engage with students from various backgrounds.”

Where did you study to become a pre-K teacher?

Ms. Abigail went to Durham Technical Community College, University of Mount Olive and North Carolina Central University, and has an NC Birth-Kindergarten teaching license.

How has Durham PreK helped you in or out of your classroom?

Ms. Abigail says Durham PreK has provided assistance and resources for challenging behaviors, helpful feedback on classroom activities and hosted “awesome trainings!”
