The Durham PreK Teacher of the Week is Ms. Simesha Sawyer!

Ms. Simesha went to the University of Mount Olive for her teacher certification. She’s always wanted to be a teacher because her mom ran a home day care center when she was growing up.

She says the best part of teaching is “the impact I can have on children’s lives.” Her favorite memories are moments that show results of what she’s taught her students, and she LOVES celebrating their growth!

Finally, Ms. Simesha says Durham PreK has helped her form positive partnerships with families. Thank you, Ms. Simesha!
